get my knee sorted

getting there the physio had me standing on a balance ball…with 2 feet and then 1 foot….she’s quite pleased with my progress…..going back next Fri

to the Physio yesterday and the usual lass was’nt there, there was a stand in older gal…...so she inspected the knee….compared notes from last week…...gave a coupla more exercises to do …one of em was a bugger…..standing on a step with the gammy knee and lowering your leg back down very slowly…..man thought my whole knee was gonna explode but I will do them and I actually felt sorry for the old gal as she had some difficulty trying to show me how to do the exercises bless her…..we had a laugh about that…...so going back on Fri…..onwards and upwards !!

been to the physio, she gave my leg the once over twice, moved it all~ways, up, down, sideways etc….checked one leg against the other …..showed me some exercises to perform gave me a printout of said exercises and was quite pleased with my range of movement…..got another 9 visits with her…..by that time I’ll hopefully be almost normal again. Don’t think I’ll be doing that cossack dance anytime soon.

thought I would maybe not need those painkillers…...eeerrrrr!!!
Wrong......had to take one this morning….....aching like a right Bar Steward…..yeah it’s telling me someones been probing and doing stuff inside it….....am going to do some EFT and Reiki on it ….....like NOW !!! ;~) or should that be :-(

well the op is…...went in this morn, first in the queue, in fact they wanted me in early which was even better…..got all prepped up and lying on the bed in the anaesthetist room, when he said this one could make you feel a bit lightheaded like a glass of wine might….err ok then I says to meself.....and then he said that was’nt the main one ….this is the main one this is the one that will put you out…...ok I’m thinking after he stuck the needle in the thing that was already in my hand…....right and I’m lying there still waiting for the immortal words PLEASE COUNT TO TEN.......so anyway ….........when I woke up … LOL twas all done n dusted…...havent used the strong painkillers they gave me yet…...but may soon as they said the pain will get worse after the anaesthetic wears off…....hopefully wont have to as I’m not too keen on using anything like that . So no gym tonight then !!!

not a lot to say about this except…...the quicker the bloody better. :(

Man it was a right pain in the ole arris this morning at work, aching like a right Bar Steward…..eased up after ten o’clock breakfast when I got an easier job to do, after saying I was homeward bound, bless the gaffer he’s a gud un !!

the doc said whip em off lets look at it…....I said I beg your pardon …...I’m a bit bashful you know, anyway it’s my knee that’s playin up not my........ok so I did’nt say that….anyway there i am on the bed and he’s yanking the bleeding knee about like a soggy armpit come rag doll ….saying relax Phill relax…...friggin easy for him to say ….god what a grip the young git had…...me I was scared he was gonna actually put it out of sync right there n then …...so anyways ….after the inspection….he said I can give you keyhole surgery a week on monday….and we’ll go in and see what’s floating about …get the crap out and see if that helps and thats about all he can promise …might help might not…..fingers crossed and knees too, god I hope he’s more subtle when I’m under the cosh.

well my Dangly bitz are doing ok thanks very much (for asking) ....but my left knee is being a right royal sod, keeps locking out and stopping me in my tracks till I manage to get it back in …....and wait for it to go again. Am getting it seen to later this month, so hopefully it will get sorted then.

Op was a success. In the midst of long rehab. But hopes are high for running in the next 3-4 weeks. Yep, I consider this goal done!
