I was putting off writing a research paper that had been accepted for a conference in Sydney. While avoiding the actual writing of the paper (surfing the net) I came across 43 Things. It’s a fantastic idea…why not give it a try.
People doing this are also doing these things:

I’m in an honours English class and we wrote two intense research papers (as well as five just as intense critical papers, a one act play, and a descriptive paper), and once you do it and do it well, it feels good, because you know you can.
I’ve written a few, but the longest that I’ve written so far was a 23 page paper, not including the bibliography. Though it took a long time, finishing it was a satisfying experience.
I wrote a research paper about absentee parenting. I learned so much about how men are marginalized as parents, and taught not to trust their natural parenting instincts. I think it will enable me to encourage and trust my husband when we decide to have children.
well i have to do this for english class to inorder to graduate high school so i figure i’ll put it in my 43 things
Accomplishing this goal will help me get closer to another goal. Which is ‘to be more respected in my career’. I am writing this with another co-worker. We’re going to present it to colleagues across the nation in Septmber. We’re finishing it up this week
It may feel liberating. There is a kind of feeling in going through boxes of old stuff and getting rid of things.
I can’t explayin my progress on this so far…
I should dedicate more time to do this.
A paper about customs. I have to get the relevant documents as soon as possible.
I did it for my honours degree. If I look back now it was definitely worth it but while I was busy with my paper it was pure hell! You can never just relax, you feel a constant nagging that you must go and work on the paper.
