Maggief927This makes me sad

I need to find a way to increase my income about $400.00 a month; so I can pay off this bill and my student loan bills. I find it very depressing that the amount of money I am able to pay does not even make a dent on the balance. 3 months ago

Maggief927So glad I didn't have a card

to make Christmas purchases. I didn’t accure any additonal debt by buying presents I can’t afford. I need to apply more money to this bill, but right now I don’t have any extra. I can’t wait until I am out of debt. It will be nice to only have to worry about living expenses (which are high enough as it is) 4 months ago

Maggief927Glad I don't have the actual card

because Christmas is nearly here, and I don’t have money for any presents. I know if I had a card I would be out buying presents for the kids. I am going to put off a bill and buy one nice present for my Granddaughter, but there will be nothing else for anyone. Good cheer, holiday music, and church will have to be the focus of our Christmas. I can’t wait until I get some of the debt paid down; so we can breath a little. 5 months ago

Maggief927How can I cut more corners

to get this paid off. I seem to be getting no where with this and other small bills seem to keep popping up. I am so tired of owing money, and I need to increase my income and decrease my spending until I get all my debts paid off. 6 months ago

Maggief927This credit card has caused me nothing but trouble

“What’s in your wallet?”-it had better not be this credit card, because they have a lot of trouble with their record keeping. They just as much told me that since I was paying above the minimum payment we agreed upon that I was causing myself problems when I paid the minimum due. They said it looked like I was in default to the computer. They can’t seem to see the irony that paying more than the minimum most months is causing problems. I asked the woman “don’t you see that as a problem-that just because I am paying more most months the computer thinks I am paying too little when I pay the minimum agreed upon?” She said that is just how the system works. Nice. A basic Quicken program would work better than the system they are apparently using. It is just that much more of an incentive to get it paid off and never have another credit card. 6 months ago

Maggief927Had to make a small payment

this month. I like to pay half again as much that is due, but I am completely broke right now. I still hope that the over time this fall and winter will be as much as expected. I am still trying to spend less and pay more on my bills. 7 months ago

Maggief927Not paying enough

When I think about what I owe and what I am currently able to pay, I get upset. I need more income and less spending so I can apply money to my debt. I can’t hardly sleep right now because the money I owe and my income don’t meet. I am going to have to go over what I am spending and find a way to cut more spending. I am trying to hold on to my gym membership, but I am looking over how much the membership and the healthy eating has cost me over the last several months. Hard choices have to be made.
I am going to have to sit down and have a real conversation with my daughter who lives with me. I know she is having some difficulties, but she is going to have to try and contribute to the households finances (at least pay one of the smaller monthly bills). I thought I was being much more fincially responsible, but the house taxes are due tomorrow, and I don’t have the 2nd installment. I am going to have to try and borrow the money. How do I pay that back? Yes, I need to find a parttime job and decrease my expenses. This is the problem that faces many people. Simple math. If you don’t have it don’t spend it, and don’t spend everything you have. 8 months ago

Maggief927I wasn't very nice, but

I spoke with one of the most ignorant people at the credit card company. I called to make my payment, and she said I had to pay more than the agreed upon amount. I said “why?” She said, “Well, according to my records, you still have not made you 8/29 payment.” Stunned silence, and I wait a couple of seconds. Maybe she will realize what she has said. Nope, she follows up with the comment that the last payment you made was 6/17. I am still waiting for her little brain to figure out that it is only July-which is month #7 and that my 8/29 payment is not due for over a month. Still nope. I had to explain it to her. I tried to use little words; so she would not get confused. I finally told her to go find a 1st grader and they would explain it to her. I asked to speak to someone else and I made my payment and hung up. I just keep thinking about all of the people out of work, and someone who doesn’t even understand which month August is has a job. 10 months ago

Maggief927I need to

find a way to apply more funds to this. I hate having this hang over my head. 10 months ago

Maggief927Still working on this

Wow, I will never have another credit card balance. I can’t believe that I got myself in such debt. I don’t like owing people and sometimes I feel like I owe everyone. 11 months ago

Maggief927Another payment

I am paying above the minimum payment, but it is sure taking a long time to make a dent in this bill. I hope it will reinforce my determination to never have credit card debt again. 11 months ago

Maggief927Still working on this

I wish I could get this paid off faster. It seems to be taking forever. I don’t have any credit cards; so I am not adding to the debt. I am having to save up for big ticket items while trying to pay off this ridiculous debt I created. I will eventually get it paid off, but I had better remember this lesson. Never again. 12 months ago
