love my pug!!
I’ve now had my pug, Tonka, for 2 years, and he is the BEST dog I have ever had! I made sure to choose a wonderful breeder who truly cares about the breed. My pug has no health issues, doesn’t smell or make noises while breathing or sleeping, though he does shed a LOT and poots in his sleep.

Hopefully some day I will get one, maybe when I have my own flat/house and have left school and have a job! :)

I don’t live on my own yet, so getting a pug is something I’ll do down the line, I guess. Plus, I plan on living life to its fullest even when I am independent (traveling and whatnot). Perhaps when I’m ready to “settle down” is when I’ll start thinking about a little puggle of joy. :)

Well ever since my parents got divorced, my mom, sister brother and I had to move into an apartment which meant we had to give up our 2 chow chows. Their names were Chow Chow(yeah I know) and Cinder. My father was supposed to pick them up when he moved away but never did. I always felt guilty and so did my mom, because one was put to sleep shortly after for biting someone and the other ran away. They were staying with my Uncle till my dad was to pick them up. Anyways that was like 10+ years ago and we haven’t really had any such pets since then. My sister would sometimes bring in strays, but we couldnt keep them. Then last year my mom came to me and knew that I was going to be alone for a year because I was waiting for surgery before I went to school. I thought she was joking. But one day she was getting serious and I believed her. I started researching dogs and thought that a pug was the best for me. It didn’t need alot of grooming (not the shedding, I mean like cutting its hair all the time), it was friendly to everyone, good with kids, and lovable. Since September 2nd, 2007 I have had Mushu and it has been a blast with him ever since.

It will take me years. I am just not home enough to give the love and care a pug needs. However, I decided that I will give what I can to the Orlando Pug Rescue Association every month. I was only able to send $10 their way this month. :( I just hope it helps until I can accept the responsibility of owning one of these animals.

I absolutely love Pugs! They are the most friendly, personable and companion dogs I’ve ever encountered besides Labordor Retrievers.

These are my best girls… And I love them so much! (Sorry to report, though, that this picture demonstrates most of their skills—mostly my girls just eat, poop, snort, and lie around sleeping.) Front to back (even though you can mostly just see their fat bellies) are Jewel (aka “Juju” or “Granny Pug”), Mandolin (aka “Mandi”, “Woowoo”, “Roto-Tail”, or “Lickipug”), and Banjo (aka “Porky Pug”, “Pork Chop”, “Porky”, “Tubalub”, “Gimlet”, or “Banjolina Jolie”).
