I have always liked to take things apart and to play with magnets. All microwaves have two donut shaped magnets. In older microwaves they tend to be larger in diameter. I currently have 20 of these, having taken apart 10 microwaves. I probably have some other ones scattered about but I have 20 on my refrigerator. It doesn’t take long to get them out. They are always in the same place in the same way.
They document the tendency for americans/techological society to replace broken appliences instead of broken parts. Sometimes the defect is as little as a cheap fuse. This tendency produces massive wastelands of junk.
