I’m not traveling internationally, but I am traveling this summer. I’m going to Brooklyn on a missions trip. It is going to be awesome. I’m going to get to see Brooklyn from more than a tourist’s perspective, it will be from the perspective of a servant. It must have been in God’s will because someone dropped out and I got to go instead. I hope I learn alot while I’m there and build great relationships.
How to travel internationally
How I did it: It was the right time in my life. It was time to commit to spending a year abroad. I talked to friends who came to Korea, researched it online, applied, Gathered Documents!, interviewed and was accepted as an English teacher.
Lessons & tips: Travel when you are young! I know many people who have husbands, babies, MA degrees, and careers that prevent them from traveling abroad for any length of time. I wish I would have traveled when I was younger, but I'm doing it now! :)
Resources: If you want to go to Korea, find a good recruiter. I used World English Service out of New Zealand and they were very helpful. Also, reasearch a lot on the internet and check out blogs and such, like on Dave's ESL cafe!

I want to either travel for fun with friends or do another Mission Trip with the Upper Room.
I have wanted to travel to Australia for a while now. Everytime I see pictures I fall in love with the beauty of it. Not only that but my favorite accent is definitely an Australian one. Last week I was telling my grandpa that I want to visit Australia and he reminded me that I have family there. I have only met them once or twice when they were in the states. Even still, maybe they would take me in for a week or two if I found a way to get there. I should start swimming now to build up my agility and stamina. Australia is a pretty far swim and since I have no money and probably won’t anytime soon it seems the most attainable way to get there haha. Any ideas on an easy route?
I probably won’t be traveling alot of places until I’m 18, but I’m really looking foward to doing it. I want to see Paris, France; London, England; Athens, Greece; Barcelona, Spain; the Bahamahs; and Hawaii (I know thats not international, but I still want to go there). I’m pretty sure the list will grow as I get older, but I’d say thats a pretty good start.
Went to Spain in February. LOVED IT! Food was great and Barcelona was spectacular. Can’t wait to travel more!
