get a learner's permit

Researching up on the requirements for my state- I have to be fifteen and a half If I’m not going to take driver’s lessons. That’ll probably be the case, seeing as how my step dad doesn’t want to cough up the ridiculous amount of money said lessons will cost. Can’t say I blame him, really. ‘Course, in that case, once I get my permit, he’ll have to teach me himself, poor guy.

Anyway, assuming I’ll have to wait until my half-birthday, that means I can’t get my permit until December 19th. Still, I can start studying for the written test I’m going to have to take!

Getting my learner’s permit on March 24th at 8:15AM.

Done with Step 1. The DATA course
Done with Step 2. Online Exam (passed on my first try!!)

Step 3: DMV ear/hearing/license $20

I’m so excited!

Oh my god I didn’t realize how much studying would be involved in taking this exam!!
Hopefully I can take it this week, and if not, next week. :)

Step 2: Take online exam $20
Step 3: DMV ear/hearing test/license $20

1. I have to pay $30 to take the DATA course
2. I have to pay $20 to take the online exam
3. I have to pay $20 @ the DMV to get the eye/hearing test and the actual license.

I’m 16 now, and once you have the learner’s permit, then you have to wait a whole year before getting your regular license. So I’ll be 17.5 or almost 18 by the time I get a real drivers license.

wel…. i might take the test next week if i will be able to have free time to review the manual…..........urrrrrrrggghhh…......

If I get a permit and a license, our car insurance goes up way too much for us to handle. When I get a job, my budget is too cramped to add insurance to it. I’m giving up on this until I have more room in my budget.
