How I did it: I broke out $57 and payed for my DATA course, and the test and license.
Its pretty simple to get one.
I got screwed out of $20 because I took it online, and the DMV has nothing to do with the test online. And its free to just take it up at the DMV.
Lessons & tips: Dont take the test online. It won't count. You'll just have to take it again at the DMV.

Oh my god I didn’t realize how much studying would be involved in taking this exam!!

1. I have to pay $30 to take the DATA course
2. I have to pay $20 to take the online exam
3. I have to pay $20 @ the DMV to get the eye/hearing test and the actual license.
I’m 16 now, and once you have the learner’s permit, then you have to wait a whole year before getting your regular license. So I’ll be 17.5 or almost 18 by the time I get a real drivers license.

i am 16 years old and turning 17 this december…...
wel…. i might take the test next week if i will be able to have free time to review the manual…..........urrrrrrrggghhh…......
