wow…sounds so impossible…but i love language so much…it’s a whole new world and a new perspective gained
and it’s fun
and if you can speak someone’s native language it’s a totally different window into their life
I’m putting my full attention into Spanish right now. My goal is to be fluent by this time next year. I’ve taken Spanish before so I feel I have a head start but I’m giving myself some time as I’m pretty strict on what my idea of ‘fluent’ is. I have been studying too many languages at once for too long. Now, I’m going for a more focused approach. All entries about my Spanish learning journey will be under the “Learn Spanish” goal.
I have always had a goal (which seems a bit unattainable) to learn 30 languages fluently before I die. I haven’t decided if I am going to count English as one of those languages, although I guess I did “learn” it at some point. My personal definition of learning a language is speaking, reading, writing and understanding like a native. I might need to adjust this part of my goal as I don’t think I will be able to live in 30 different countries during my lifespan! But I can die trying!
