watch Kieslowski's trilogy

I watched the trilogy out of order. Blanc, for some reason, really made an impact on me, through the last scene . . . the main character who worked so hard on exacting his revenge . . . the apparent irony of the situation was quite disheartening. Blu was absolutely mesmerizing, with Juliet Binoche’s frailty. And Rouge, as the final master work of Kieslowski, I think not only perfectly tied the three themes together, but underlined his career as a master storyteller of the human condition. If you’re on the fence on whether or not this will be worth your time, give it a chance. It is not just another set of movies, it’s a visual and aural experience – a fusion of art, philosophy, intricately weaved with Kieslowski’s poetic prose.

I watched all three films in a row the past couple of days, and I’m very glad that I did. All very beautiful films, but I think that Blue would have to be my favourite. It was so moving and so well filmed, I was thoroughly impressed. To be honest, I didn’t think too much of White although it wasn’t a bad film, it just didn’t effect me in the say ways that Blue did. Red was pretty amazing, and I loved the ending. I might consider buying the box set in the future.

After months and months I have finally completed this goal. I finished Rouge last night and it was by far my favorite one… I’m sure if I rewatch all of them I’ll appreciate them more, though.

Wow, I completely forgot that I had this on my list!:) I should get back to this goal. I will probably check out rouge from the library

Finally finished Bleu and half of Blanc. Hopefully finishing Blanc tonight, so I’ll be 2/3 of the way there.

So far I like Blanc a whole lot better than I liked Bleu.

I watched “white” the other night. Liked it better than bleu. I have to say, both DVDs were really amazing. lots of bonus material.
