I really enjoy reading books by Karen White, and Jodi Piccoult. I have read over 80 books in the past year, and I plan to keep going : )

So I’ve picked a book up again that I had set aside because it was getting a little heavy. The book is Eva’s Cousin by Sibylle Knauss. The Eva in question is Eva Braun, Adolf Hitler’s mistress. It’s a really good book but seeing as half my family is German and actually fled Germany during the war I found I needed a little break from it. But I’m back at it and have found myself once again engrossed in the not 100% accurate history of Hitler and his private life.

Wow have I ever lagged! 19 months ago

Ok well here goes. Since January I have read….

    1. In the Woods by Tana French (Mystery)
    2. Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag (Mystery)
    3. Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning
    (Cheesy Romance)
    4. Siren Song by Robert Edric (Mystery)
    5. Missing Mom by Joyce Carol Oates(Fiction, Love,
    Personal Growth)

And I’m still going through my bookcases to find the books that I’ve started and never finished. At last count there were 17 books on the shelves that still had bookmarks in them. My goal is to finish those books this year. Fingers crossed!

I haven’t kept great track of this over the past year and a bit but I have read quite a few books.

I’m now onto to “Blindness” by Jose Saramago; it’s won the Nobel prize so I’m hoping it’s good.

I finished “The Five People you meet in heave” while sitting the waiting room at the doctor’s office. (So hard not to start crying, I’m a sap). Anyway I started a new book it’s called “The Watchers of Time”, so far it’s not too bad but I just bought the collective works of Lord Byron and I really really really want to start reading that one!!!

Ok so I put “Death and Nightengales” aside it was a little to heavy for reading at work on breaks. But I’ve started reading Mitch Albom’s “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” and I can’t put it down! It is such a great book. I love Eddie!
