have my own creative space

If everything goes to plan – in 2 months I’ll have my own studio space! I’m pretty excited about it since I’ll be able to have all my printmaking stuff (as well as everything else) in one place and I can come and go as I please.

Even better still, I don’t have to worry about getting ink on the carpet! :P

1. throw out or move items that I don’t want
2. move my dresser to the side
3. Move my desk to face my dresser
4. find some use for my cart
5. Move my bed next to my window

This will be part of the conservatory too – so park it for now.

With the conservatory coming, this is going to happen.

I’m starting to see what this artists lair would contain – a desk to write at; a piano to compose and play songs at; natural light and good sound-proofing; space for all my books.

Our current house could hold all these things if we extend it with a conservatory. We’ll get some quotes and see if it’s something we can do.

I live in a small space. And yet, these days I start to spend a lot of time doing my own things (reading, drawing and doing my multimedia stuffs…). I put 2 PCs side by side in my living room. That’s pretty much my lovely “creative space”. It may not sound so cool, but I am loving it. At least, it’s my own space.

I already have a space that is my own, but I’m aiming for something a little more expressive. I can’t turn my bedroom into an artists lair (since I share my bedroom!) – so this might be linked with moving house.

As a lover of fantasy and medieval, especially arts, crafts and architecture, I wish to have my own creative space which is a reflection of my personal tastes.

A place where I can read, write, ponder life, relax, nap or sleep if I wish to. A place where the outside world is lock out and my inner world comes out and takes over, allowed to roam unhindered.

Planes become majestic dragons, dry bushlands become lush enchanted forests, dull modern buildings turn into wonderous castles, and muddied rivers to crystal clear streams. However brief each journey may be, my imagination and my sanity would be deeply thankful of such a creative space.
