longest train trip was about 3 days for me, no sleeping car, it was rocky… out of all the trains i’ve ridden (alot) i preffure riding the shinkansen to the slower ‘scenic’ trains, it does make the ride considerably faster and more comfortable, so if you want to go cross country for dinner it’s possible and abit easier then taking a jet V(^_~)v.

I took a trip from PA to Oregon. It was amazing. The train went through several national parks and the views were wonderful. No worrying about traffic. I also met really interesting people on the train, and the food was also fabulous. It was a bit of a budget trip as I was still a student, but I still liked it.
I admit it, I think train trips are romantic (even when you’re travelling solo!). There are so many beautiful places to travel through – from one side of Australia to another, through the Swiss Alps, through Italy and of course, anywhere on the Orient Express!
