all i really need is..
family

art

mother nature
food/water/air
what i need less of:
computer time!
cell phone being turned on
tv.. (i already don’t do much of this.. but still holds truth)
i need to realize i don’t need all of those clothes that i want.. eek. 5 years ago
I’d like to lead a more simplified life. Definitely shorten my use of technology. A few times I have turned my cell phone off for a couple days. And it just feel so nice. I really do feel like I depend on material objects more than I should. I’m going to try to keep my phone off for longer periods of time (only use when I need to. I also would like to go on the computer A LOT less. I’m one of the many people in this day and age that go on the computer at least once a day—- I would really like to lessen that. Just open a good book instead. Relax. Enjoy a nice night outside with a friend, talking.
All you really need is yourself and possibly a friend to have a nice time. Other times it’s really nice to just relax with your thoughts—-
you don’t really need too many personal possessions to be a happy camper. 5 years ago
No, I’m not saying I’m throwing away my money or plan to live a gypsy life. As a human being, I’m a natural consumer who thinks happiness is wanting more. “My life is perfect because I accept it as it is” ~ Lenny Kravits. 5 years ago
i’m learning how to do this very slowly
i think i’m learning how to be unhappy with alot faster than being happy with less 5 years ago
A friend of mine from way back said that to have only three major goals is the key to happiness in life. When you’ve accomplished one, replace it with another so you still have 3. Now, that’s sparse!
1. Professional actor
2. Financiall Independence
3. Improve my way of thinking 6 years ago
i am really happier than before after quitting SPIE and started my own business. it’s a smaller scale and less money but happier. i am glad that i made this choise.. 7 years ago
i had problem with the cook at my restaurant. Actually, she had her own personal problem and she could not work for me anymore. There is no cook, how can a restuarant runs. We, me and my sister, can’t cook so we decided to close it temporarily and wait until my brother get married and we will let him and his wife run it. My sister and I will run the internet and the copy-service shop.
Actaully, we felt overloaded running three shops at the same time. But now we felt very light doing so and will have more time for ourselves. 7 years ago
if i can do this, at least adopt this idea to my life, my life would be more easier. 7 years ago
I once knew a woman who had so much clutter that she got rid of most of it. Her house was sparsely decorated and there was a peacefullness about it that I loved. I have so much clutter that I need to separate myself from it, but I’m too attached to it. I must learn to “be happy with less”, I guess. 7 years ago
I feel like I always want more. I want something nicer. I want something more cutting edge. I want more time. I want something better.
But do I really need these things, I’m always yearning for?
When I look back upon my life, I know I don’t. I just get caught up in the things around me. I’d like to be able to live happily with what I have. I want to be thankful I have what I truly need and that I have people around me that love me. 8 years ago
