although its not necessary for us to be comfort in just one place, i think i really need my own space. FOR NOW..
coz its pretty borring to stay in one place for a long time.
i have a lot of stuffs that need house and a place to sleep.
and i need privacy too…not that i didnt get it in my place now..
i still live with my parents now, and living with my unle’s family whenever im in jakarta. The ambience is good and i can excluded lonelyness in it. but..
now, the only privacy i had is in my car.
so.. maybe its about time i use a bigger space.
universe.. are you ready??
hmmm.. well its every person’s dream to be able to have that privacy and
having to learn to go about your own needs for everyday. To be able to leave you space and whatever time you like and well, especially, come home at whatever time you like well not to forget the necessary things you need to consider like the bills to pay for. But you know what, i can’t wait to try living in my own space and i’m gonna work hard for it =)
...when I need some silence/personal space…and have a house full of family? Right now it is the living room in front of the TV…the first challenge is to identify a space…big enough for a chair to sit in…a table to hold light and coffee…a lamp to read by…and my personal CD player…
Yeah! I want the space, which is needn’t much large. Just fell good.Small house that I can sleep, work etc.
WEll I am signing this off as done as it is! Early days yet and am still in sort mode so have no idea of the normality of it yet. However the interesting thing is that really it appears no different from my life before – which tells me that I was pretty much living a separate life but with the addition of needing to care for an additional person.
A biggie to sign off!
Can’t get BT to sort my line out so hence the delay.
Well ‘tis done. Was an incredibly difficult day. My husband had not done any packing at all so spent the weekend trying to sort the garage out (the bane of my life) and therefore doing no other packing. I bit the bullet and did all his packing for him on the Sunday and went to bed with the house a bit of a disaster zone hoping that he would pull a rabbit out of the hat. Got up the next day to find no bunny and a potential disaster. Even more so to find that he had used up 30 boxes on the garage alone and had run out.
The movers arrived at 8.30 and all went really well – they started loading my stuff into the smaller van and then swopped round to get some of his stuff out. As said all swimmingly until the main guy looked at the loft. Another van needed to be got just to load my husbands stuff from the loft – whereupon he immediately began to blame me and the movers. Key point was I arranged the movers for myself and he piggy backed on – plus he did not want to spend the money on getting himself packers.
All went a bit downhill from there.
I then spent the morning packing up the rest of his house and then single handedly cleaning it all (was a big house) At one o-clock got the call to say all the money had gone through but he was no where near done. By 2.30 I left so that the movers could unpack me and then take my van back to the house as the balance of what could not fit into his two vans was left on the driveway. Key point here was that I had seriously culled what I wanted and had repeatedly asked whether he wanted to keep the balance or should I donate it. He will never throw anything away so all was kept!
I drove off with the 2 cats, 2 gerbils and fish to unpack. My stuff was done (bar the sofa – had sofa traumas too!) by about 5.30 and they finished getting him unpacked at 11.30 that night.
I have really blitzed the unpacking as I found could not focus on work with all that there. However as I understand it he has not even done his kitchen yet!
Kids seem happy. Have lovely next door neighbour boys of the same age as my eldest so he is happy. They have seen lots of their dad too and so when I asked my eldest this morning what he thought of the house he said excellent and was happy re seeing his dad. Makes me think he thought he would not see him which was never going to be the case.
Am I happy? Yes – in reality it feels no different to what my normal life is bar in a different location and without the added stress. Too early for any ‘normality’ to kick in but really have no regrets and will work out great. Even is ok having him round the corner (so far) as is easier for boys etc. he even seems relatively ok about it too so far.
So at the point I finally get my phone line working I will further update!
Thanks for the support – done it!!!!
Have packed 5 million (well maybe a slight exaggeration) boxes today – the majority of which are for my husband and dont feel well disposed about it however is done. My stuff is all ready to go – am sure he will do his usual and stay up all night to pack his stuff.
Eldest is a bit worried as he understands what it means but interestingly when I asked what might help the new turtles gameboy game did come up…
So tomorrow the vans come at 8.30 and then all go!
Excited
Went in the loft again and got more stuff down – another 5 black bin liners to the chariity shop!
However found 2 opf my amazing dresses from younger. These are original vintage 1950’s dresses, one is green and gold brocade with a knee length bell skirt with the strached linen underskirt and the second is a pink and black tulle and lace creation. In addition i found my original red cross over strap nurses cape and a full length ball claok with metal embroidery and a long pixie hood.
Have given up waiting for my husband to do his packing as with 2 days to go and he still has not started. This includes clearing a double garage full of stuff (and I mean walkway room only) the loft and the majority of the house. Whipped off 10 boxes for him tonight and feel I am just touching the tip of the ice berg…
However for the rest of it – going good – eldest room done, youngest nearly done. My office complete. Will do the kitchen on Sunday and the rest tomorrow.
Two more days…
