My body really likes getting at least 8-9 hours of sleep. I process a lot in my dreams, and I think sleeping this much keeps me sane.
I want to need less sleep. 7-8 hours should be more than enough. I also get to bed really late, and want to get to bed at midnight or one am at the latest. Right now I get to bed between 2-3:30 and get up at 11:30 or noon.
This morning was a good first effort. Even though I got to bed really late, I woke up at 10am! Much better than before.
Tonight, I will get to bed by 2. I’ll start to slowly shift my hours of sleeping around, and eventually I’ll have the perfect amount of sleep, most of the time!

Like everyone I know who shares my age (give or take) are night owls. At home or in the world, they’re up til 2 or 3 am and prefer to sleep in. To the contrary, I am an early bird to the core. Couldn’t change my schedule if I wanted to, as I’ve tried.
There’s an exception to every rule, and mine is that when I am out on the town, sleep can’t find me. But other nights when I’m at home and wouldn’t mind beginning to watch a movie, read a book, or talk at midnight, the yawns creep in and soon I’m crawling to bed.
I’m equally inept with sleeping in and taking naps. Ugh. My clock has just struck midnight. I’m not ready to challenge this quite yet. Bon soir.

Thanks to getting a PSP, I slept about 4 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. Not feeling tired at all.
