Ok, so I gave in. Not because people talked me in to it, or because I thought it would be “fun”. I actually did it because I was horrifically bored. It was May. And I had the flu. Who, I ask you, gets the flu in May?? So I did it. I got a freaking my space page. And I will admit, it was a little cool when an old friend was coming to visit NYC from the opposite coast and suggested we meet up in the city. people

It gets harder when your freaking boyfriend goes on it almost everyday!!!!
I tell all of my friends if they can give me one good, solid, reasonable answer as to why I should get involved in what I think is a highly-overrated and somewhat scary social phenomenon, then I would do it. So far all anyone can come up with is “it’s fun.” So I ask “fun how?” That part stalls them all. “I dunno, it just is.” Ok people- not a good enough reason.
Now there are a few old friends I lost touch with who have my space pages (yes, I admit I have spied around a little) and I guess having a page would be a reasonable way to get back in contact with people. But honestly, it’s almost to the point where I’m simply being stubborn and just won’t allow myself to become so immersed in pop culture. It’s become such a “must do” that I’m aiming to prove otherwise. Yes, it IS possible to live a fullfilling life without having a my space page,
