Learn to Dance; Take a Dance Course with my Significant Other

...but it is taking so long and it’s not a priority. Unless I can complete some other goals in the near future this one faces the axe.

...just no time for lessons right now. Will re-visit once Stinky Pinkleton is older and going out isn’t such an ordeal.

Pretty much the same situation as 9 months ago. I still want to acheive this goal but realistically it’s unlikely we can find a regular babysitter while Emma is so young (and I wouldn’t really want to leave her anyway).

This stays on the list and when Emma is a bit older perhaps hubby and I can find some good dance lessons. I am a bit nervous when the time comes though as hubby has danced in shows lots of times and picks things up really easily. I on the otherhand am completely uncoordinated and have two left feet.

Oh well, it’ll be fun anyhow!!

I’ve done this after about a year of asking from my wife. I don’t consider myself very talented on this point, but it turned out very nice. This is a very good thing to do if you want to do something together with your significant other.

I went to a Swing class at the high school a couple nights back. It was tons of fun. I think I should sign up for more swing classes. Really, I had just forgotten how much fun any dance class can be, especially with a partner. It seems easier with a partner because you can play off of each other. At the very least, if your partner knows the moves better than you do, it’s easier to fake it, particularly if you’re the follower.

My significant other did not seem opposed to taking swing classes, so maybe he is coming around to the idea of dance classes. He is still cautious, and I can’t blame him. If we take classes together, I want him to come around to it on his own, and I don’t want to bug him. I have found that if there’s something I want us to do together, or that I would like him to do, it’s better not to ask him very much. He knows how I feel and I don’t need to remind him. He will when he is ready.

I’m just glad I can trust that he doesn’t need pushing. Just time. Maybe it won’t be as soon as I’d like, but that’s ok. Ok, now I’m rambling, and nearly off-topic, so I’ll end this here.

I love dancing, and I love dancing with my S.O., but he really doesn’t like dancing in front of other people, so I don’t know if I will complete this goal. But I will keep it on here, because he is at least less apprehensive about it than he used to be. I won’t push him, but if he ever wants to, I would totally jump on that opportunity. :-)

Went to Dance Plus Ballroom and bought a gift package that includes 4 private lessons for a couple and 2 dance party nights where you practice what you learned. I think she’s going to love it.

It was a bit pricey, but I figure the gift is half for me, so I made out pretty well.

I found a dance studio in Grandview, so all I need to do is go over and get a gift certificate for my girlfriend. Looks like it’ll cover four classes and two dance party nights. Sounds fun!

Learnt to dance, I suppose you could call it with my significant other, since I took an exotic dance course, and all he had to do was the be the ‘lap’ :-)

It was great fun! As long as you enjoy being sexy, you should do this!!!
