get a tattoo wedding ring

I don’t suppose I have to get any tattoo to symbolize my marriage now.

i want to do this when i get married next valentine’s day..

my boyfriend is really into tattos and I want to get our rings tattoed on to show him that I love him and the ring is there forever

...08/08/08 & this is what we’re doing. We’re hoping to have an artist come to the reception and do it while everyone is still there. My only problem is finding ring ideas!

so my rhcp tattoo is definitely going to interfere with ever having a wedding band tattoo…i discussed it with my husband and he really wants me to get the rhcp tattoo and so do i…i plan to get it done next wendesday (hopefully…cross your fingers)...but there is no way that i could ever fit a wedding band on my finger in addition to the rhcp ink…so i think what i want to do is get a pretty picture of wedding bands and the date we were married (or something like that) on the back of my left hand…david says that i do not have to do that but i feel like i do since i can not wear a real ring…so i am going to leave this goal on my list until i get that tattoo on the back of my hand…

My brother and his wife got an infinity symbol tattooed on their ring fingers. I think its a wonderful idea and I plan on getting a tattoo as well when I get married.

People are often concerned about how to incorporate the rings into the wedding ceremony- what my brother and his wife did was really special. They wore white gloves at the beginning of the ceremony, and before they did their vows they pulled off each others’ gloves and kissed the ring finger. then, my brother explained why they got tattoos and the significance of the permanence of a tattoo, and then his wife explained why they chose to get an infinity symbol. It was actually more moving I thought than your average part of the ceremony when you exchange rings.

I am a massage Therapist and I NEVER were rings or watches. My soon to be husband is a mechanic and accident prone. So him wearing a ring = us in the ER. I want to do this but I am scared it will hurt. (I am wimpy) I hear they won’t give epidurals for tattoos. I am having trouble finding a site with different ring ideas so I know what I want. Help? anyone?

I hate wearing rings (and bracelets, anything on or by my hands), and my husband can’t wear rings for his job. We actually tried the traditional wedding ring thing but after we ended up losing two different pairs of very expensive rings, we decided to go with the tattoo option (you can’t lose those!). Alot of people will tell you, “Yeah, but what happens when you get divorced??” Well, I’m sorry alot of people think of marriage as a temporary thing. As for me and my husband (and our respective families) it’s an eternal thing =). Good luck with your tattoos!

I don’t wear diamonds – for many reasons – so when I recently got engaged my fiancee gave me a beautiful white gold band. I love it for so many reasons, one of which is its simplicity. I was joking around about getting his ring tattooed for our wedding, and he actually went for the idea! I’ve never had a tattoo, mostly b/c I couldn’t make a committment to any design, and I’m so excited that this will be my first one.

It hurt, although not as much as I would have thought; because there was no color to fill in, only the black lines, so it was over fairly quickly. We got a Celtic design that runs all the way around our fingers. My only advice is go ahead and get a full ring. It hurts a little more but the symbolism is just more potent than a wedding “strip”. The endless ring represents forever whereas I’m not sure what a strip would be.
