be a photojournalist

I cant beleive I havnt commented on this in so long. I do have a camera now. Not a professional one but its decent. I need some cool software and to take a class to learn how to matte and fame my own pictures.

a camera. Yeah I kinda lost custody of the one I had. i want to take a month, just take a month or so …a camera and something to write with…the right guy if one should present itself and head off and learn and explore fighting obscurity

I dont think this has to mean on a professional level. I want to notice the detials in life and be able to capture them and write it all down.

As soon as you take a picture and write story about it, you can be considered a photojournalist. I want to make a living as a photojournalist. For now about travel throught South America. I already have ideas on where it can go.

I’ve been a photojournalist for eight years, and I love my job. Whether working for a big-city daily, or a smaller community newspaper it’s definitely the best job in the world. I get to meet new people every day — no two days are the same. One of the best things about my job as a photojournalist is I get to challenge myself on a daily basis. Feedback from our readers keeps me inspired and capturing the perfect image is what keep me going!

in all actuality a real photojournalist. obviously not for the money.
but from the taste of what i’ve done so far, it’s good.
i don’t know if i should classify this as done, because currently i am an intern photographer for a paper, and work for the school paper…but for all purposes, until I am not freelance, i’ll keep working towards it.

well, this is the ultimate goal for me. to travel to Africa, Asia and India especially. To do SOEMTHING about the injustices we know nothing about here in North Amercia. To make those aware here so those of us in a “better” place that we take so much for granted cna help those less fortunate, and to learn from them as well….

Really, it was the moment that I had the chance to be in the middle of a riot in Austin, TX, when the KKK decided to gather in from of City Hall… after that day I realized that I want to do this for the rest of my life.

Best advice I can give you though… get a good pair of running shoes. You never know when you’ll have to get out of danger in a hurry, but, man, what a rush.
