give up…too high maintenance for me
How I did it: It took me a while to do it. I have curly hair so it would involve a lot of straightening. I used to have short, bob bangs but it was sooo much work!! And growing out bangs is a bit of a hassle. This time I got some layered, long, side-swept bangs and they look gorgeous!! They're easy to maintain and they look great.
Lessons & tips: If you're like me, with curly hair, go for longer bangs. That way they're easier to blow dry and straighten. I also have a cowlick at my hairline so I had to be careful which way my bangs fell, so they wouldn't stick up!!
Resources: If you live in the Cleveland area, I recommend Fast Eddy's Chop Shop on Coventry. The stylists there are fantastic and they can pretty much do anything you want them to do. I don't think I'll go anywhere else!

did it tonight! i haven’t cut my hair in so long, and i think that this is the longest it’s ever been in my life, i love it. but i’ve been pondering cutting thick bangs for a while now, and i finally impulsively did it tonight :)
i really, really love cutting hair.
Fancyness feels disorganized
I cut my bangs finally in addition to coloring my hair and vamping up a bad haircut. I feel like a whole new person. Now if only I could style it like the girl at the salon did . . .
