I have some sort of feeling I’m going to be a raver. lol Already, I’ve started making some pretty bitchin kandi. :) Soo excited!
We’re going to my first rave on July 18! It should be fun..I hope.
How I did it: By this point in time I have been to several raves. The best ones usually consisted of around 20 or so people and where thrown by and for friends. I can't say I have ever enjoyed being in a sweaty, hot ass room with a hundred people while some wigger mixes mainstream hip-hop. In fact, that kind of rave gives American raves a bad name. How I did it: We went on Halloween and I was expecting people there to be open-minded and sociable. Everyone was dressed up but I had a feeling that this was everyday attire for most of the kids. The rave itself was behind a Tim Horton's in an old bowling alley so the lanes were still there and everyone kept tripping. There was no air conditioning! And the people were not friendly at all. I felt extremely out of place and I don't think I'd do it ag… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I think raves here are different to in America. Over here they're illegal get-togethers in an old abandoned building with a shedload of speakers and lots of people off their faces oin a variety of drugs. The way to get into them is to befriend someone in the scene. You need to get a phone number which you call on the night to find out where it's going to be. The phone number's only passed between friends in the scene, so I doubt you could … Read how I did it…

Everybody I know has been to a rave. I vow that by the end of this summer I will go to a rave! If I don’t…I’ll be soo pissed.
uhh i need to go to a rave sooo bad. It would be like heaven to me. The music pounding and all the lights pulsating on me. And to be next to people dancing like crazy and feeling just the same as I do.
I have been dreaming of raving since i was 13. Im finaly moving out of the corn fields and farms that surround me to a place called Muskegon Michigan and if anyone could tell me where i can find a rave illegal or not here or within an hour of here i would be very thankfull.
Not the easiest to get to as it was up on the central coast near awaba, a few hours drive away. Once we actually got close at about 12, the road was blocked with what we thought was police cars – which would have been a really early shut down, but we saw they were rural fire brigade trucks instead – there had been an accident. We waited for about an hour for it to be cleaned up and the guy to be choppered to a hospital and then drove for about half an hour until we got there, set up our tent and started drinking.
It was right in the middle of national park on the top of a hill. The music was great – we danced for hours and hours and watched the sun rise. I went to sleep after that and was woken at 10 by police who said rangers were on the way, who would fine us for camping in a national park, so we got out of there after packing up our tent and picking up rubbish. Got home and slept for 14 hours straight.
Awesome experience, the setting was amazing although it was hard to get to, tops music!
semeier is at work.
I want to feel the ultimate feeling of getting lost in the music completely…
travelyogatrance is sweating profusely in the summer heat & humidity
OK so I went to the rave last night for a little bit. Wandered around from room to room waiting for the Happy Hardcore set to begin on stage 2, and when it did, well I danced my ass off and had a blast. But the set ended after an hour and I didnt like anything else that was playing, so I left. I had the same problem here that I had at the last one: very little of the music I like was being played. So why am I surprised that I wouldnt enjoy myself fully? Here’s the new plan: only attend raves that are frequently playing – ie more than two hours – genres I enjoy. An upcoming rave in December has about 5 DJs spinning happy hardcore or trance, so I think I might get a ticket and give this goal another go. I’m not taking it off until Ive had the experience I want!! :D
