when there“s some money :)
People open Swiss bank accounts because the Swiss franc is so ridiculously stable. In fact, it’s SO stable that the interest is NEGATIVE. Which means that you are basically paying the bank to keep the money safe.
I’ve never put money in a Swiss bank account myself, but I visited Switzerland last summer (and learned about the negative interest from a Rick Steves guidebook, natch). It’s a gorgeous place, but I definitely don’t have enough money to make it worth my while to keep it there.
I want open a Swiss bank account to give me easy access to money for my travaling and adventures. How old do you have to be to open one?
the only reason i would need to do this is if i won the powerball.
come to think of it, i had better check my ticket.
I was playing Day Of The Tentacle today and it made me think of this goal.
Aah, crazy Dr. Fred.
BlueLadyRepose is deciding what I really want to do
I’m working on my “be financially independent” first. After I achieve that goal I’ll revisit this one.
My interest in opening a Swiss bank account is pure curiosity. All the terrorists and art thieves… all the people running from something seem to have Swiss bank accounts.
I figured I should do this in case I ever have something to run from. And also because it just sounds like a swell reason to visit Switzerland.
