Then came the hardtop 1968 Beetle, named Suzette, which was a swell little car that kept on going, against all odds except one: she perished at the hands of a clueless roommate, too young. After that I drove a 1965 microbus for many years (fond memories of black grease up to the elbows in sweltering parking lots around the northwest notwithstanding). Was carless for many years, then broke the fast with a 1990 Westy, which I still have, but my daily driver is a 2007 GTI, Reflex Silver. I have an affinity for VWs that defies reason.

I want a Beetle so bad! I’ve wanted one since I was a little kid. I’ve been pounding it into my parents’ heads that I want a used one for my birthday. I don’t think I could really afford one on my own and this is my last real birthday present. I hope I get it! I want a green one.

This one would be amazing! Especially if it was a convertible! I would jizz my pants if I got one, and I’m a girl.

I had a ‘73 Beetle for about 3 years and now I have a Golf which I love.

It’s been a great little car, but it’s time to trade in on a new one! I hope to get a new MkV GTi this time.

Bloody right tire of the model I ordered has jammed and the rear-view mirror came broken in the package, but what the hell. But on a happier note, the colour had to be, of course … lemon!
