    i don't like snowboarding 16 months ago

so I was looking at my list of my goals, and I saw that I had learn to ski or snowboard on my list! I totally forgot that I had that here. Well, I went snowboarding last winter!

And it was awful. Just awful. I spent most of the time scared out of my mind.

But I went skiing two weeks later and it was much more fun. I don’t know if I’d say “I know how to ski” yet, but maybe next winter I can cross this off as a success!

I’d like to learn how to ski or snowboard, hopefully without breaking my bottom!

l have learnt how to ski 22 months ago

just returned from my 3 day holiday. i have taken skiing lessons there for 3 hours and can now ski on low sloped hills. i learnt to use the tele-ski also which i have fallen several times. :) At first i gave up and thought i will never manage to control. But after one hour lesson with the teacher i was sliding down the slope slowly with a smile on my face. i have overcome my fear. Next time i hope i will have the courage to go faster and learn paralel skiing and ski more steep hills. Also that tele-ski thing is another fear to overcome. It once stucked into my jacket and i was not able to get it out so i slided some way up laying on the snow. I was laughing when i got rid of it though. No injuries.Because i did not go fast none of my falls were injuring also .. just one guy ski right on to me fast and hit me. that is the only pain i’ve got.

Trying something new 3 years ago

It looks like a lot of fun when I see people skiing or snowboarding down the slopes and I’ve always wanted to try it but then I’ll see somebody take like a horrible fall and I’ll get put off. But it’s time to push my fear out of the way and give it a shot.

so much fun 3 years ago

I went on a ski trip to Titus Mt. with a group of 11 friends on Friday 2/24. My friends Erik and Kim helped me get going and I kind of sucked a little bit on the bunny slope. But after I went into the lodege to warm up I went back down with my friend Brooke and I did pretty good. After 2 more times down the bunny we went to the next run up and took the lift to the top of the mountain. It was hard but I did pretty good. I was very proud of myself for trying something new, and not freaking out too much on the ski lift because I’m afraid of heights. I cant wait to go again and get even better. I am going to try and go on every ski trip that Venture Outdoors (the outdoor activity store on my camups) offers. (:

I wish I had a sense of balance 3 years ago

Tried skiing for the first time up at Yosemite. Of course, it was a little different than resort slopes as we were on natural terrain, but it was still fun.

I am a terrible skiier. I fell down countless times, sometimes before I even started going down a slope, sometimes while I was going uphill

But it was fun, nonetheless, and I did learn the rudiments of skiing. I’ll improve in the future, I’m sure. Maybe.
