I’ve wanted this for quite awhile, but decided to get my conch pierced first. I’m getting the rook on the opposite side, so I want the conch to heal completely first before getting the rook (since that would make sleeping just awful!) I cannot wait though. The conch looks awesome and this would complement it.

orionriot is working towards the honour roll.
thus far, I have my double lobes, helix, tragus and belly button pierced. I got them all pierced in that order, but had them all for a separate amount of time.
the thing is, as much as I love my helix, I’ve had it for a year and 3 months and it still hasn’t healed. every time I accidentally hit it, it hurts. I still can’t sleep on it sometimes, which is so annoying.
it’s in a CBR, so I’m assuming that’s why it can’t heal, as it keeps getting moved around. I’ve noticed that for some reason people have this temptation to move the ring around whenever they look at it. so I thought about changing it to a stud, but I really don’t like the look of studs in helixes.
anyways, I have this thing about balance between ears. I have my two lobes and helix on one ear, and two lobes and tragus on the other. I think I have minor OCD because if I got my rook and helix on the same ear it’d drive me crazy.
thinking logically, I think the rook would barely ever get hit. I think it would heal a lot faster and I really like the look. I still love the look of my helix, though… and I still have to think about it.

you know, the inner part of your cartilage.
It’s gonna hurt like hell but it’ll be awesome.

I’m 14 and I got my rook done about 2 weeks ago. I love it. It was pretty painless, but you have to wait 4 months to change the ring. That’s probably the only bad-ish thing about it. (:

I’m the type of girl who psyches herself out easily and gets so nervous to the point where I am shaking. I had heard that the rook is the most painful ear piercing so this was not an easy decision for me to make. I went and got my rook, and I LOVE it. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but the piercing process did not hurt at all. I was pleasantly surprised.
It’s sore now, though. Once it heals, I think it’ll be that much better.
