find a best friend

You must be out there somewhere…I’ve been waiting for years, can’t you speed up the process and come find me?

It gets lonely, talking to puppies and electronics. I don’t even care if you’re dumb as a log or a smart-ass.

It’d be really cool if you were into video games, and maybe played(as badly as I do) some kind of fun instrument that goes well with ukulele. Maybe you’ll even struggle with weight problems too and we can beat it together. If you wanted a part-time job, we could both venture into the anxious world and I wouldn’t have to do it alone. You wouldn’t care that I was as nerdy as they come, and I wouldn’t care that you have a phobia of dishwashers. Maybe you’d have a Peter Pan complex like me, or a weird sense of humor that I would get, the same way that you would get mine.

You can’t know how long I’ve been waiting to meet you. Movies about teenage girls make me sad because I feel cheated out of a happy adolescence, but I’ll forgive you for taking so long, if you’ll only come and break my anti-social lifestyle.

I think that was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever written.

I moved to Arizona in May of this year and I’m living with my boyfriend. Just a couple of months ago I started working and making new friends, but only friends at work really. My best friend is at home back in Arkansas. It’s really hard not having anyone to talk to other my boyfriend and it’s hard to make friends here for some reason. I had lots of friends back home and I feel kinda silly I have to look for friends now online, but I’m desperate. I feel that if I had a really good friend here the relationship with my boyfriend would be a lot better.

I have lots of friends, but I’m a fairly closed person so I’m not really close to any of them. I’ve got my funny, easy going guy façade which is all most people see, unless I get really drunk and upset. I also worry about being too clingy so that’s another reason I’m distant from my friends. I’m not sure what to do because if I choose a friend to buddy up to they’ll be like ‘were did this come from after I’ve know you so long’.

The only thing missing in my life is a bestfriend. I turn 29 tomorrow and the best present I could ever get would be someone who is just like me. What I mean by that is someone who has a very similar lifestyle as mine. I’m 29, I went to college, I have a stable career, I’m getting married next year, I bought a house on my own last year, I have no kids, I love to read fiction, I’m learning to dance salsa, I’d love to travel the world, I don’t like guns or violence, I still like to go clubbing but I don’t get stupid drunk. I consider myself an independent women who is in love with a wonderful man, but would never rely on a man to support me. My daddy taught me bette than that. I need someone who is honest, sweet, openminded and most of all stable. I feel weird writing this on a website but what other choice do I have? I work, go run, cook dinner, watch a little TV with my man, and go to sleep. When or where would I ever meet someone or go up to someone and say “hey let’s hang out and see if we become best friends.” It’s easy when your young with out responsibility. I love you man, was a great movie that really hit home with me because I knew exactly how he felt. Anyone in Riverside CA or Corona Ca feeling the way I’m feeling?

I sort of have a best friend at school but she can be a usual girl teenager and get caught up in her own shit. Really though, my best friend is my boyfriend but I’d like a female best friend because I can’t sit there and paint my nails and talk crap about my boyfriend TO MY BOYFRIEND. haha. Girls at my school are just shitty friends it seems like so I’m trying really hard to find one :]

Well…Im 13 now and I never had a true best friend. I have a lot of friends, but not a best friend. I want to have a friend that can share everything with me. We can be silly and do so much stuff together, kinda like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

well i have maybe about 3 friends but i don’t get to talk to them much and i always feel like the odd ball out! like i don’t fit in. i just want a person that i can totally and truely be myself with and talk to and hang out…. im 21 now and i have no one to really share my life with (well my boyfriend) and he is my best friend but i want someone outside of my relationship that i can talk to and hang out with and goof around and be silly little girls kind of like a selena gomez and demi lavato relationship. hopefully one day i’ll find that special friend!

I want a best friend. Someone who will hang out no matter what. Someone to talk to everyday and gossip or go to the store together. I want someone who will answer when asked whats up without saying nm all of the time. I want to hang out and talk and spend time with someone other than my husband.
