Applying what I have learned in Legacy leadership to our community project has been huge. What seemed to be at times impossible to put together, I stretched myself to look for new opportunities. When the gazebo source fell through, I was able to enroll others on the team to get creative. They responded because we are a mighty team, focused out and able to do so much. When I was unsure it we would have all the necessary materials, we were able to work together and create just what we needed. We were commitment to excellence from the very beginning and when that commitment is firm, great things happen. When I drive by the garden today, when I hear of the seniors who are so thankful, when I know the many people who have been touched and will continue to be touched, when I consider the young people who will be able to connect to the seniors like never before, I see true transformation occurring. Sometimes little touches can make a huge difference and I learned to realize that those little touches start with me.

I feel that when all is said and done, what really matters is what you leave behind you…Memories in other peoples heads…I hope I am a good one :)
I was watching a movie the other day, “Coach Carter” and there was a message in there that touched me. It quote “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadaquate. Our deepest fear is the we are powerful beyond our own measures. It is not our darkness, but our own light that we run from. Why dim our own light because others may be uncomfortable. It is our right to shine as bright as we can so that others may see and pursuit shine as well.” ... My dream has always been to touch other peoples lives, and make a difference, and I was the best with inspiring words, but I when it came to myself, inside, I was so insecure. I want to actually be a man of my word now, and live up to what I say. To make a difference, I only expect the best out of people, now I want to show people the best in me.
