i am extremely happy with where i’m at now. everything is going very well with the job i have right now, and now i’m able to work from home and kick some ass.
How to get a job in my field
How I did it: I went to college and majored in Industrial and Operations Management with a minor in Management Information Systems. I kind of rushed through it just so I could get a major. I was working on my 6th year in college (the last year I went to school part time). I started out in Accounting for one year and decided that was not for me, but since I was on the business track, I needed to go ahead and get a degree that I thought would be useful, and Operations fit the best for my needs. Now, I'm not happy with my choice, but I have learned a lot despite of the circumstances. I've been laid off three times since 2005, so I am looking to change fields.
Lessons & tips: Don't just take a degree to get a degree, although if you do, it is still not the end of the world. I plan on going back to school to pursue a Master's degree, but will need some prerequisite courses as well.

really, because i had my interview today, and the woman interviewing me said that, if i am able to pass the aptitude test, i should almost definitely have the job. which also means i’ll be making $15/hr full-time! that’d be sweet!
i have an interview on tuesday for a help desk position at a company around here, so here’s crossing my fingers that i get the job!
