A merciless purge of my bookshelves and DVDs netted me five boxes of stuff to take to Half Price Books tomorrow.

I recently went through my books and DVDs and sold some to Half Price Books, but I think I can do a more thorough purge now. I have a lot of books that I’ve been holding on to because at one point I was really into that author/subject and I built up a nice collection. But realistically, I’m over a lot of those things and if I decide I want to read those books, I can always get them from the library.

with how my son did (with my help) on Saturday. The sun was shining and there were plenty of people. He sold for about $100, which was great! I felt so great every time he sold a book and I thought that “It won’t be coming home with me! Yay!” I’m so glad to be getting old stuff cleared out of my home and life!
My son may save a couple of boxes of the nicest books (out in the storage shed) to try and sell another time. But I can see a whole big load going to my favorite local thrift store this week, too.

booked for Saturday. Now to help my son sort and price the books. Most of them will be 10 Skr each (just over $1).

my oldest son to sell as many of my old unwanted books as possible. I’ve sorted about 500 books so far that he can sell at the bookfestival on Sept. 1. Wish me luck!
I have way more books than I’ll ever read. This makes meeting my goal of reading all the books I own truly impossible. I’m always buying new books and most of the new ones I will read or should read. But I have lots of books from previous projects and classes. Some of them are useful and I will keep, but I need to go through my books (especially the ones in my office at school) and get rid of the ones I won’t read.
New Rule: If I have had it for years and not even considered reading it, if I will never work on the project the book is related to again, if I didn’t like it (and it’s not useful for work), it’s out. I could use the money—and the space.
...I’ve only sold one book, but I’ll try and sell some others soon. However, I’ve given several away now, so I’m marking this as done.
Almost Like A Whale is now on its way to Tiddilywinks!
To my brother this time. The shelves are in need of some rearranging so that I don’t feel like I need to order more books!
I received payment for my eBay listed book earlier, so now I suppose I should send it. I wonder if I have any others which would sell easily…
