Today I got through album art for half of the S artists, but then discovered some songs are labeled “Track 1”, “Track 2”, etc and I have no clue what the album is. Eventually I’ll have to listen to each song, google the lyrics and rename everything.

How I did it: My ipod broke, so since i was having to buy a new one, i figured i go through my songs and put the correct artist, song titles etc. down for everything and get the album artwork for them all. It took me a week to get it done, i have close to 7000 songs. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went on a thanksgiving road trip to Iowa and had some time on my hands to actually go through many of my 2500 songs and delete stuff like there was no tomorrow. I'm running lean at about 1900 songs. I know I could stand to lose at least another couple hundred, but I'm pretty happy for the time being. Read how I did it…

I finished the album art for all my 5star songs, and I’m half way through album art for all my 4star songs.
I skipped around a bit and did the album art for all my Yiruma songs. It’s really time consuming to look up the album names and art on Amazon :(
I recently bought the newest iPod nano, and discovered that the album art is wacked up now… if every song doesn’t have the art saved individually, the art won’t show up in the “now playing” mode.
That’s so irritating! I’ve already organized my iTunes song titles, album names, and artists, so now all I have left is to fix the genres and album art. I’ve been working on the album art for the past three months in my spare time, and I’ve gotten through the Cs.

I’ve spent hours over the last few days organizing my library. I’ve gone through all the albums I’ve listened to so far and added album art. I’ve also found the record label it was released on and the year. If I have the complete album the track numbers are * of *. If I don’t have the whole album I just have the number.
I’m going to go through the rest of my library as I listen to it. Getting album art and everything else. I’m making good progress, but I probably won’t actually finish this goal for a good two years.

My music is all in two folders now. All of my music is in the itunes folder except for the stuff I convert from vinyl. The process was much simpler than I expected it to be. For the most part I just dragged the folders into itunes and I changed the location. The play counts still intact. I did lose just a couple albums that I can get back from friends and now I have doubles of a few albums, but for the most part it is so much organized. Now I’m adding album artwork and organizing everything that I have listened to already. After I’m done with that, I’ll just correct every album as I listen to it.

All of my music is on an external hard drive and I have over 30 gigs. Right now all of the music I’ve gotten from other people is in separate folders. I want to condense it all down to the one itunes folder. This wouldn’t be too bad, but I also want to retain the play counts for my other goal of listening to all of my music. This is going to be really challenging, but fun.

with over 3000 songs itll be a mission. does albumart count? because thatd really take forever.
there arent any free programs that do this for you are there? (i only know of ones that cost)
My songs are a mess. Half don’t have titles, artist or albums. I have a lot of random stuff I don’t want due to me just downloading all the songs we had in our hard drive into itunes. So I have quite a task before me. I don’t have much attention span for just sitting there either and going through everything. Oh well, one day!
I started to reorganize my ITunes library before Christmas and I’m still going. My goal is to organize it so that everything has a rating (which isn’t that hard now that I’ve slimmed down to a meager 2000 songs-1000 unrated—- lol) and album artwork (Which is extremely difficult as a lot of my music is bootleg remixes and mashups. Can’t wait until I finish :)
