be socially responsible

This month I am using the Keeper for the first time. I’m having a few minor issues, but for the most part I’m pleased and excited about never having to buy (or flush!) tampons again.

Living a socially responsible life has many aspects—one of which is committing to only using natural or organic goo in the shower, so as not to send chemicals down the drain. Bonus: they smell better and often come in pretty bottles. Bad news: they can be hella expensive, sometimes over $10 for smallish 6 or 8 oz bottles.

Today I found a site where I managed to get 9 big 16 oz bottles of Kiss My Face body wash and 7 bottles of various nice-looking shampoos and conditioners for what worked out to be $5.30 each, including shipping. We’re not going to need to buy bath gunk for months and months, and I’m very pleased with the savings. Yay!
