What a great and rewarding profession! I LOVE being a personal trainer. I became certified through ACE a few years ago. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you help someone to achieve their goals. It helps keep you fit and happy as well! I will add START TRAINING CLIENTS AGAIN to my 43 THINGS. Something very difficult happened in my life a year ago, and I quit training my wonderful clients and taking care of myself. I look forward to being fit and happy again.
But seriously, I just thought today that this appeals to me more than becoming an RN. I just can’t work for the American health care institution as it stands when I could be involved in the preventative care of which Americans are in dire need.
I totally forgot that I put this on my list! I have been a certified trainer for about 18 months now and I love it. I train people in their own homes and I specialize on pre/post natal so it’s SO REWARDING to help women stay fit during pregnancy and to regain their strength and bodies after having their baby. SO WORTH IT!
My job as a personal trainer is very rewarding and fun! I get paid to torture people…(that is just a joke!). Seriously though, the feeling is so great to see the change in people – not only physically, but mentally – as they realize what they can accomplish when they are pushed to the limit.
This is worth doing, especially once you get past the people that want quick fixes. When working with serious and dedicated people, you see goals met, lives changed, and new lifestyles established. It is one of the most rewarding things to see someone feel better about life again!
