I like that you have the two races together. I am doing this…
The most I had ever ran was 10 miles in college and I was not certain I ever wanted to do more than that.
Well, I’ll be 28 soon and I’m seeing 30 just around the corner. So, I signed up for a half marathon first and have been training for about 2 months and strangely, I’ve found it easy to get up to thirteen. Now, I’ve signed up for the Richmond Marathon Nov. 11th (a full Marathon) and will run another half at the end of this month.
It’s strange, but shooting for 26 makes 13 seem EASY!
Good Luck!

I turned 40 in January and decided that this year will be a year of action to lose all that unwanted weight that has crept up on me over the last 10 yrs. I like running and find it stress relieving. I’ve been running / walking on and off for every week for the last 2 months. I now need to move up a notch and start training for real. My first objective is to run in a fundraiser for 5kms on April 9th, then a half marathon on May 21
