start a side business

that this isn’t working!

this worked so well in ottawa and i’m feeling sad that it isn’t working here. i’m not sure what i’m doing wrong and i guess i’ll have to try again come september! maybe it’s my approach! maybe in my heard i know taht i’m already taxed with my time and i don’t really want to do it! the fact of the matter is that i’d rather take classes myself than help others write papers more sucessfully! maybe that’s where i should put my energy!

i did another craigslist article and put an ad in facebook. this weekend i’ll poster

i did some good work on the business.

i posted again on craigslist, i wrote to the UofT to put an ad in their student newspaper and i emailed ryerson about doing the same. i’ll make some posters and try and put them up this week. i wish i had some to give to mac but i don’t that’s ok though. maybe i’ll try and meet up with her on friday and see if she can put them up.

i also added voicemail on my phone at home so that its a dedicated line.

cost $10 per month with the potential of $60 with the ads.

i’ve decided that having seperate goals to make this happen aren’t going to help.

this will be a sucessful business and i’ll say that this goal is complete when i’m bringing in about $1000 a month in income. based on the amount i should earn per hour and the number of hours i can dedicated to it a week, that’s about 10 hours a week at an average of $25 per hour. totally do able but i need to plan out promotions and advertising etc.

my goal will be put 25% back into the business, put 25% into spending and put 50% into debt management. that way i’ll have my debt paid down and have some play money.

anything over $1000 per month will be savings. i have so many things i want to buy and really, i love doing the editing work anyway so its not a big deal!

this is it! i’m focused on this and we’ll see what happens!

not now. not in the mood. just too much going on right now.
