It’s his fault.
He suggested it one day while relaxing over an ice cream cone, and later that night, we had our column. It’s actually pretty fun, and gives us something to do together! Please visit us! http://www.halalgal.blogspot.com

heres the thing..when giving people advice as much as you wanna “spare their feelings”, you cant always do that. If you want to get it through their thick skulls you gotta tell it like it is. The truth may hurt, but they will always take it into consideration the next time they deal with it. So when giving advice truth is the key.
And when you do this, tell them your advising “opinion”, and tell them why, you cant just tell someone something, and not know why you’re telling them that. And in explaining it, you may win them over..

I would like to write an advice column. It seems to me that when I read the ones in the paper the answers are usually “common sense”. I know I could be good at this and I liek the idea of helping others.

My friends jokingly call me this because I’m usually the one looking after everyone and giving advice…the “mom” of the group. I enjoy helping others and sometimes just listening, other times advising, is a way of helping someone. I used to have a webpage where people could write anonymously and ask for advice, and where I could I would advise them, sometimes I’d have to refer them to a professional, but I helped a lot of people and it was very fulfilling. I’d love to have an advice column someday…
