see damien rice in concert

Went to São Paulo… Saw him! I mean, REALLY saw him, not saw a shadow, or through a screen cause it was too far, but actually saw him!
Man,... oh Damien!
Cheers Darling… 2 bottles of wine!
He called us up to the stage to sing Volcano with him and there I was by his side! Priceless!
The concert was just him and the guitar and it was so amazing I didn’t even miss the band.
I want to see him sing again!

his live performance has this explosive quality that you’d never expect. i know his music tends to be quieter & either delicate or moody. but when he’s moody in person, he tears the house down with his vocals & his percussion buddies. my goodness.

Ordered two tickets to Damien Rice in concert Sept. 11th at 7:30 at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. YAY!

it was AMAZING.

he actually had tons of personality – i wasn’t expecting that at all. he was hilarious and told funny stories about the songs and actually wrote a song on the spot with chords that people shouted out. the band was incredible and it was almost like we got 2 versions of each song… he would start out solo and then the band would join him way in the song… so we got ‘solo damien’ and “rocking out damien with band” for almost every song… it was so great. there were amazing effects – he used pedals… and the lighting was awesome. all in all, it was one of the best shows ever. the crowd was so into it – everyone loved him… he did 3 songs in his encore…. and played such a great mix of songs. he played from o, 9, and even b-sides. it was AWESOME hearing the b-sides!!

soooo good. if you have the chance to see him, GO!

i just bought tickets to see damien rice at the louisville palace theater (BEAUTIFUL venue) over my birthday weekend!! so, looks like i’ll be heading home for my 25th (gasp) birthday. :)

Mr. Rice is coming to KC on May 13! Did I buy my tickets EXACTLY at 11 o’clock when they went on sale? Maybe….
