create my art portfolio

Well, things have changed since last I wrote and I now am not looking to go and study art at the moment. First thing I don’t have the money, and I see now how expensive it would be for me. For this year and maybe the next I won’t be building a portfolio just to aim at getting into college, but I’ll rather do it for myself instead.

I’ve been really worried about compiling my portfolio as the first few days of working have been really tough! I’ve tried to view things in a different perspective, so I don’t get stressed about it. I’m taking on the view that I shouldn’t be working to simply build up a body of work for a portfolio but rather carve out a path of learning and discovery about my progress and artwork, and submit what I have done so far when it comes to the college interview. That would be much better for me I think! And I’m starting to feel more enthusiastic and encouraged about working now, because I’m starting to understand and hopefully get over my own hurdles that have stopped me working before! :)

Ok, so here it is… I have ‘til 2 June 08 to create an art portfolio to apply for Art college! I really haven’t done any art for a long time, so I’ll really be starting from scratch. So with that in mind it certainly won’t be as comprehensive as I’d like, but I shall try my best none the less! I hope to work on it everyday and I’ve plotted it all out which has made me feel better about getting on with it now. So I’m starting to now feel where to go with my artwork… wish me luck!
