move to a different city

Packing. The truck leaves on Friday. We leave next Wednesday. Baltimore!

We applied for an apartment in Ballmer and gave our notice here, so it looks like we’re leaving in May!

My wife got into school in Maryland, so we move there in May! Woohoo!!

I have two jobs this summer. First, I worked for the state attorney general’s child support office for six weeks which, while it didn’t guarantee me a job, gave me a pretty good avenue for getting a job outside my hometown. My second job is with the Department of Justice. I’ll be there for six weeks. I hope that at least one of those two jobs turns into a post-law school job so that I can get out of here!

I was born on a Friday, then came up with my mom to my hometown on Monday. I got away for five years (my and my wife’s college years), but now I’ve been back for two years. I gotta get outta here!

I don’t know what posessed me to move to the midwest in the first place, but I now know it is most definitely not the place for me.

If past lives are real, I must have been a gypsy in one of them, for I am constantly hunting saudade. Too bad I live in a capitalist society, otherwise I’m sure I would have found it by now.
