learn to ride and get a motorcycle

woot I passed! 3rd time lucky, I guess. Dunno when I can get a bike though… my funds are pretty low now.

go you! I can’t wait til I actually pass my test :-( Hopefully 3rd time lucky tomorrow. I have learned to ride one though. don’t know if you can do courses in the UK like that but I’m deffo gonna see if I can find one because it is so expensive to keep taking my test only to fail for the dumbest thing! I already have a scooter which I love (except when it’s freezing cold!) but since riding a proper bike it feels like a toy hairdrier (not even a real one!). I have to pass anyway by april because you have to do your full bike license within 2 years of getting your scooter one.

I now know how to ride a motorcycle. I was the only person to get a perfect score on the riding skills test in my class. Hell yeah. I’m so totally stoked, I have to get my own bike as soon as possible.

was my first day at the training course, it was the classroom day and we took a test at the end of it. I only missed one question. Woot!

This Saturday and Sunday are riding days…...I’m very excited, but a bit nervous too because some of the people already know how to ride and are just taking the course to get their licenses and I’m the only girl… the majority are 40 to 50 year old men. I feel the need to show up all the men.

Got my federal return money today and signed up for the motorcycle course with it. I’m so unbelievably excited. If for no other reason, today is a good day because of this.

Went with Nick to a motorcycle parts shop today to look at some stuff he needs for his new bike, it’s got me all excited. I get to join his and Brandon’s motorcycle gang once I get my bike, they call themselves the Forty Thieves… so far there’s only three… and that’s if you include me. Ah well, I think I’m gonna have the extra 160 dollars I need to sign up for the riding course to get my license here pretty soon. Fucking sweet, man, fucking sweet.

I got my motorcycle permit a few weeks ago. There’s a motorcycle training course this summer that I’m probably going to take if I can scrounge up $160 to pay for it. You automatically get your license after completely the course, so I won’t have to bother taking the skills test at the DMV.

After that I just have to save up enough to buy my own bike, something cheap. My friend Nick, who knows quite a bit more about motorcycles than I do has promised to help me find one after I get my license.

I really wish motorcycles with sidecars weren’t so hard to come by…
