Not that easy

Ok, my experience with HundredPushups.com is that it isn’t as simple as doing the first set of exercises on Day 1 and the next set on Day 2 and so forth. I finally completed the 10, 12, 7, 7, max routine, and 3 days later, when it was time for my next set, I wasn’t able to complete even the same number of reps again, let alone an increased number. At any rate, I’ve been doing pushups 3 days per week, and I’m making progress on some level.

I’ve been doing around 25 pushups, 3 times per week. I’ve not quite been able to complete the 5 set Day 1 that HundredPushups.com says I should be able to do (10, 12, 7, 7, max). Mine is more like 3 sets of 10, 8, 7.

...with this one. I’m up to 40 now: 2 sets of 15 and a final set of 10. I hate to admit this (except online to thousands of people I don’t know), but I’ve been admiring my much-improved pecs in the bathroom mirror and fondling them as I drive down the highway. LOL. I hope the folks who pass me on I-75 don’t think anything too terribly perverse is going on.

I stepped out of the shower a couple of days ago and noticed that my pecs and shoulders are starting to respond to the 30 pushups I’ve been doing several days a week. Encouraged me to try harder for the 50.

I just started with daily pushups on Sunday. For the last two days, I’ve done 3 sets of 10.
