My dad is from Ireland, so through the Registry of Foreign Births I’m already allowed to be a citizen with the right paperwork. It’s really just a matter of getting my dad to GIVE me that paperwork… since he’s in Florida and I’m in NJ. :-P
Oh, well. I’ll make it happen.

I’m eligible for Portugal citizenship, but first I need to make a catalog of all my ancestors through my grandmother (father’s mother), and she’s a bit scared to go through all the paperwork to be done.

Which country should i become a citizen in? Should it be something practical like Mexico, or should it be a fun country like Australia or Djibuti?

Mark is gaining momentum...
Ireland it is. I am definitely going to get more information on becoming a citizen of Ireland.
Great benefits…plus it will be my first stop when I visit Europe.

It turns out that if I submit all my paperwork here in the states that it can take almost 2 years :-0
But if I do it there it’s a matter of days. So I can put this one on the back burner for till the new year.

Called the Consulate and got all the info I need.
I need to get together a ridicules amount of paperwork, my birth certificate translated-with a special seal, proof of my parents citizenship it goes on and on.
I will not let all this paperwork stop me!
