They are so anti-union, they are mobilizing managers to encourage employees not to vote for Democrats: http://money.aol.com/news/articles/_a/bbdp/wal-mart-mobilizing-against-democrats/113594

...hasn’t been inside a Wal-Mart this year. Actually it’s been about three months. And last time I went in was just to return something… which equals my cash back in my pocket, not Wal-Mart’s. Fannntastic.
My story began January 1,2006. I decided to sever my loyalty to a corporation that my son had been employed by for 2 and one half years. He had complained to me on many occasions about the treatment he received at walmart, but I couldn’t believe the things he told me. A few of the complaints he had were that walmart would transfer his overtime hours to the next week to avoid paying him overtime. Also he wouldn’t get compensated for his earned sick pay, and even discussing unionizing would get him fired. He was fired. Wrongfully, but in Illinois that doesnt matter; workers have no rights. He’s moved on, I have not! I’d grown attached to many of the assosciates there, and I wish that each and every one of them could get a job where they are respected by their employers. I do not believe walmart will change and if it does it will be too late, they have screwed with too many lives. At the onset of my boycott, I calculated the total of all of my receipts from 2005 and could have bought a nice car for what I spent at walmart. I’ve saved money already and earned back my own self-respect by not supporting trashmart!
