learn to read sheet music

i want to learn your guardian angel….cover…

i want to learn how to read sheet music.
i know some songs already:
-evanescence…my immortal
-avril lavigne…innocence
etc
but i can only learn through the lettered versions!

I once taught myself to read sheet music, and it worked out pretty well for me, but ill be damned if i havent forgotten how… its the weirdest thing in the world… but somehow i unlearned how to read sheet music. I need to re-learn how, so i can seriously play and compose again, and not just goof off on my piano.

It comes in handy. Just randomly like in church singing hymns and stuff.

I learned by being in band for a few years. You learn the basics then every other day for an hour someone is telling you to play it and telling you to play the same parts over and over again until he likes what he hears.

Start learning how to read and write sheet music.

I have absolutely no idea how to, and every piano-teaching book subtly implies I’m an idiot for beginning it without knowing how to read it. Here’s hoping I get around to it soon.

i’m very rusty now. my mum told me back then i would thank her later, and i do.

one fun way to master this is by playing duets with other people because if they keep going you have to stay with them! practicing alone is great, but this really boosts your performance-ability.
