there’s a liter of coke and a pitcher of water… i was thirsty to death and i had to choose,

I chose not to fall in to temptation. I had water! ha! Doing better in this one. =)

i lost track! i had a bottle last saturday, and one glass today. well…i probably jumped too far to end this goal so soon.(that’s me rationalizing!) so, maybe for now, 3 – 4 cokes will do. then next week 2-3. lol…making up for an honest mistake. =)

had one coke 2 days ago…i went to a children’s party, and i had 1 bottle.just one. that would be it for this week. then i’ll try to have none next week. =)

I was really thirsty…and the first thing that came into my mind was Coke. thanks to 43things.com! I didn’t want to humiliate myself with a non-progressive entry on the 2nd day of my “drink less coke” goal. so, i just had water. not bad…. =) (but i’d still have coke this week, maybe one can. – that is WEANING)lol

Did it once before. I think it’s good to do again. I lost about 15 lbs within 2 weeks last time.

I’m already down a bit and I want to get to zero. Ice tea works pretty good for me.

Since starting Weight Watchers two weeks ago, I have been drinking less coke. There is a simple reason for that- points!

I am very motivated by token economy… so it’s working for me that every morning when I wake up I get 24 points to “spend” on food/drinks. Water is worth zero points. Coke, other soft drinks, juice and milk are all worth points. So, I’m motivated NOT to drink those things too often, because I’d rather spend my points on food.

Some people on weight watchers have switched to Diet Coke/ Coke Zero. I don’t like either of those at all! I would rather drink water! And I don’t want to put too much artifical sweetener and other chemical stuff into my body… so I’m not going to let myself establish a new habit of drinking diet soft drinks!

I have heard it said that by drinking soft drinks daily, you can put on 10kg per year- because of the extra kilojules you consume when you’re thirsty, but not necessarily hungry! Looking at the nutritional information on the package, I can see why…

I wonder if some of the extra weight I’ve put on is because my husband likes to have coke in the fridge… whereas when I lived at home with my brothers I didn’t drink much soft drink, because it didn’t stay in the fridge too long!

So… I’ve concluded that coke is a “sometimes” drink.

I am trying to stop my Diet Coke addiction. I’m powerless over it. I’ve started drinking a small glass of water each hour once I get home and it helps!
