go landsailing

So I just learned someone on my soccer team’s dad is a core land sailor… he travels down to shred the playas yearly with his yachts. He also rides a harley, has a perpetual tan, and wears chaps wihtout looking like a complete dumb ass… I hope he’ll be my yachting mentor…..

Living in a place where winds gusting at 40mph for weeks at a time can be frustrating. Flying kites is only entertaining to a point. I’ve been doing research into a more complicated wind-based activity: “land-yachting”, or “land-sailing”. The three wheeled frame with a sail operates on the same principles as a sailboat, only for use on land. It (seems like) a fun way to spend time outside on days where wind prohibits other outdoor activities…...I need to do more reading, but this summer my goal is to purchase or make a land-sailer and learn to control it. Any advice???
