I feel like I did this just for the sake of being somewhat consistent… ‘cause I can be obsessive like that. =P

Why not start on this one? 6 months ago

Since this goal is about writing entries for all of my goals, I found it fit to start here :)

I think this one will really help my to specify what I really want to accomplish by each goal and how I’m going to do it. I expect that some goals will be more difficult to grasp than others, and therefore I will use the opportunity when I go through the list to check if the goals are S.M.A.R.T. – that is do they meet with the requirements of being Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely? If they are not I will probably try to rephrase the goals slightly, trying not to loose the initial point of it.

I am going to write entries for all of the goals I have. I might also get around to writing how-to’s on the ones I have completed.

Well, I’ll start with this goal, I guess! I hope to complete this today.

I’ve really been working on this lately. It really helped to get down why I wanted to have these goals. Now that I have this in place, I need to keep it going as I add new goals… and I need to expound on how I plan to fulfill these goals, their importance in my life, and record their actual progress. This is just the first step.

I guess if I don’t have anything to say about the goal, why do I have it, yes?

My first 15 goals now all have an entry (I’m actually trying to list my goals in the order of importance to me), and 28 out of 26 goals have an entry. I just need to keep going. I want this goal to be completed by the end of the week, so hopefully there will be lots more entries. :)

In my opinion (at least as far as it applies to me), I shouldn’t have a goal unless I can articulate why I have it and why it is important to me. I’ve really made a point of redoing my goal list as of late (I’m not completely done yet) because I wanted to have goals that would actually help me better myself instead of a bunch of random things I thought would be neat. Writing an entry for these goals is essential to using this site and making it a tool to bettering myself. I love 43Things, it’s a great personal tool and a great social network, but I don’t feel that I’ve been using it to its fullest potential. I really want to live a self reflective life (not a vain one or a self centered one… but I want to live deliberately instead of just randomly meandering through life). I will start writing more entries for my goals and I will continue to improve my list of goals to help me in my journey.

whew! it’s nice to actually say why i want to do each thing that i want to do. it kind of sets it in stone and makes me want to accomplish even more…so i can write another entry/update when i complete it!
