Finished up Season 5 over Xmas weekend. Still have the “special features” disc and a “bonus disc” to browse, maybe that will help a little towards getting through until they release Season 6 (which doesn’t even start on TV until mid-January). I don’t watch 24 on TV because I like the rush of back-to-back episodes, where the adrenaline is unremitting.
I saw all seasons…Seasons 1 thru 5…in a boxed set at Costco. I’m tempted.
What is it about this series that is so addicting? If shit like this happened in real life, we would be up in arms about government abuse of power, and violations of civil liberties, but when it’s Jack Bauer pulling the trigger or stuffing a towel down some terrorist’s throat (all the way down), it’s ok? I know a former spokesperson for the ACLU, for chrissake, whose guilty pleasure, kept secretly hidden in the closet, is an addiction to 24. 5 years ago

Season 5 has been released! My dear sweet SO picked up the DVD set on Friday and we have been doing the Jack Bauer marathon each evening since. :) 5 years ago

and Season Five has not yet been released to DVD. Hence the “I want to do it again” classification. :) 5 years ago

Almost, but not quite as good as Season One.

Half way done. Watched the first 12 episodes of Season Two over the weekend.
This season has been playing in reruns on the tube the last few weeks, and it inspired this goal. It’s incredible how much clearer the story line is, and the relationship of the characters, being able to watch episodes back to back. The story flows much better, and its power is magnified compared to weekly installments.
Ok. Hurry, Netflix, hurry. 5 years ago
