I didn’t think it would be as funny as it was!! It far exceeded my expectations! I laughed and had a great night =)
CropTillDawn~ Trix are for kids!!!
All of the guys who are not big names are just as funny too. It’s a great way to spend a night out. Hot tip, if you like to be teased, sit in front! Many times you can get two for one tickets of free tickets on weeknights. They do have a two drink minimum if you don’t drink alcohol just get soda or coffee ( I have gone while I was pregnant) You can make a whole evening of it and have dinner there too.You do get better seats if you do that.ENJOY!!
Long John Silvie is home and hopping mad!!
I’ve been to the comedy store in London a couple of times (saw Bill Bailey there amongst others), and I donlt think I ever laughed so much in my life. I also went to a comedy show at the Edinburgh fringe a few years ago.
Must do this again sometime!
Dennis Thompson can't access this website from work
really lifts you up and puts you in a good mood, I was looking for some in Adelaide as I saw a notice for live comedy free on Tuesdays only I can’t see it anywhere now. In London I used to go to Jongleurs clubs and they give you discounts for being a memeber so I went back a few times and ended up seeing the same people more than once.
Absnasm is so freaking happy!
I saw some live comedy just the other week in a small comedy club in Gateshead, and I’d forgotten how much fun it is. There’s something very bonding and cathartic about laughing hysterically along with a big group of people you don’t know. Need to do this more often.
energy is sadest ever.
I’m gonna get right
Gonna hit the scene with my friends
My friends and I used to go weekly to this place called The Jupiter Cafe in Vancouver to see stand-up. Unfortunately, they’ve since cancelled it.
We would have a great time, sitting, laughing, bantering… I highly recommend it!
Lesson learned for the future: DO NOT LISTEN TO RECENT BOOTLEGS OF A COMEDIAN BEFORE GOING TO SEE SAID COMEDIAN.
I knew most of the jokes, and it felt as if he toned it down a lot in places. Almost as if he had too much time to think about it, got bored of half of it, and got caught up in the circular thinking he was talking about. It was still a good experience, and what he said about the small ways of fighting against the mainstream (and the leaves at the end!) were lovely and inspiring. Would’ve probably been very impressed if I hadn’t heard so much of his work already, and knew he could be even better.
The experience was worth it though. I really hope he has a different show by June when I go to see him again.
have been put off going by the kind of atmosphere and crowds I associate with comedy clubs, and the general lack of inventiveness of most comedians…
but am going to see Daniel Kitson next week (and already have tickets for his show in June, hoping he has enough different material), so this goal should be quickly achieved!
