How to own my own house

 "Daunting, but empowering"
How I did it: By own my own house, I guess I mean, have my own mortgage. After husband of 15 years left, it's been a struggle to get his name off the house, even though I've been paying the mortgage on my own for over a year. Well it happened this week. It helped that we were both as civil as possible and we both wanted the same thing. It did feel good, but also made me feel a bit weird. When my lawyer said, well you've got your own home now - I replied, yes and 30 years worth of debt thank you very much. So I guess really the bank owns my home, but it's still MY home and no one else's. Lessons & tips: Don't get nasty about things, have a good lawyer, financial advisor and don't take on debt that you can't afford.

I’ve recently come to the conclusion that like women, men too have a biological clock that ticks down until about 30.
But it’s got little to do with children directly. It is the urge to own one’s own place. I want a HOUSE! Or in this city, I’d like a CONDO! I don’t know, something that I could afford on a salary that is less than $100k. San Francisco is expensive folks!
That’s ok. I’m not daunted by this task. But I turned 30 this year, and I’ve felt the urge to get property since sometime in my last year of my 20s.

Yes, that ticking feeling is getting stronger and almost unbearable at times. Ladies, I now sympathize with you on the baby urges. Whew! It doesn’t sit with me all day, so long as I am distracted, but in the quiet moments, it’s just [house, house, house, house…]
ACK! Ok, I’ll probably start saving heavily, and torturing myself by looking at homes I can’t afford yet. But it will happen.

For several years now,like many others – I have wanted get on the property ladder essentially owning my own home Hoevr like many others due to redundancy and ill-timed recessions (is there ever a well-timed one!!)it hads yet again escaped me.
So that is my main goal!and I will acheive it….just nee to figure out ‘how’?

- for word on a mortgage. If I get one then I can go and get some place to live … somewhere. I took a day last week so spin around Wicklow and look at some places. None of them were right but if I keep looking I reckon I’ll find something soon. Please, please, please let them give me the money!
