I hate being sick. Coughing up phlegm and unable to do the one thing that would really make me feel better, doing form after form in my living room but what I really want is my Sifu, telling me to do it over and over again, awesome, beautiful, more chi, train harder, but instead I’m in my living room kicking and striking and coughing like mad, spitting into the trash can and not getting my fellows sick, because it’s all I can do.
Damn New York in winter.
And leaving my current Sifu. Which is distressing, because I can’t imagine a more awesome Sifu. I may have to come back and visit him. Sigh.
I have always wanted to become a Sensei in the Martial Arts and always though that it was stupid goal and is no way possible. I have now for 4 months thought about it long and hard and have decided to follow my dream. I am going to train in Kung Fu, TaiChi Chun, Qi Gong and Chin Na, at Peter Kwok’s Kung Fu Acadamey. Not sure if this is the way to start, but I think starting at a well known school and traing for few years should get me to black belt. I am very excited and can not wait to start up again.
I’ve been looking for a school closer to home. So far, the recomended school is 45 minutes from me in Dekalb county. Sifu WILL HURT YOU… That and the fact that Sifu teaches ALL traditional kung fu lessons. Who wants fake Kung Fu?
Does anyone know of a school similar to this very close to Stockbridge Georgia? Perhaps even just on the southside of Atlanta?
If I can live to 100 I will have only just lived out a quater of my life. I will die in 2076. I want to learn, see, and do so much. I need some time to make money and then enough time left to enjoy the time and freedom it will bring.
I started kung-fu in 1984 after i lost my right arm in a motorcycle accident. in 1998 i started the Chinese Boxing Academy, teaching a form of “Choy Lee Fut’ San Da. At one time i had four different branches running. Currently i teach out of my home to only a few students.
